ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

Francisco Giner de los Ríos School, is a school located in Mairena del Aljarafe, a town 9 kilometres away from Seville, the capital of Andalusia (a big and important region in the South of Spain)

 

There are about 700 students in our school, and the staff is formed by 40 teachers. We develop our Pre-school and Primary School teaching in one of our buildings, but nowadays, due to the increase of population in Mairena del Aljarafe, we have to manage another building with pre-school students in a very close zone to us.

 

We are considered a very well qualified school. We’ve been awarded with a prize to our project ‘School, space of Peace’ and we all are very well known in the educational environment due to our conciousness raising in languages, cultures, disability, etc. Our school develops a bilingual project from the beginning of its creation and our students are used to participate in exchanging information with other countries, recieving visits of people from other countries and linguistic assistants from all over Europe and E.E.U.U.  

 

The complete staff supports all those projects that help our students to be open minded and eager to know other cultures and learn about different countries.
